Contribuiți la feedbackI've been here a few times for drinks and once for Father's Day breakfast. The venue itself is really nice. Has a rustic chic sort of vibe, but it in a bloke y kind of way, if that makes any sense at all. The Brewery (Cassels Sons is part of The Tannery shopping complex. They've got a narrow indoor seating area next to the bar and wood fired pizza oven, and also a spacious outdoor area with plastic sidings and roof in wet or windy weather. Every time I've been here, I've sat in the outdoor area, which is nice even though your view is basically of the parking lot. This place can get pretty busy, so just be aware at peak times that you might have a bit of a wait before you can find a seat. Father's Day breakfast was a 45 minute wait (somewhat understandable but even on regular weekends this place can get busy. The food is uninspired. They really have nothing on the menu for vegans, except hummus and flatbread. For breakfast, all I could order was the toast with jam and cream sans the cream. The staff was rather unapologetic about this as well. Guess they don't get many vegans in here. My parents also felt the food was a bit so so. Also, they'd run out of the dish that my dad wanted, so he had to choose something else. (Father's Day problems again, I guess. Overall, I'd say make this a drinking spot, not an eating spot.
Nice little brewery by the tannery. Huge patio that has both covered and uncovered seating. They do an $8 pint special each week too. Enjoyed the beers. Had the mushrooms as an appetizer- huge serving for only $6 and tasty.
Award winning craft beers like the Milk Stout good place for larger groups. And for sure a great place to eat a wood fired pizza
A popular place to spend a weekend afternoon, The Brewery have delicious pizzas and a range of craft beers and ciders on offer. I've only ever tried the pizza here, but there is also other main meals available. The pizza flavours are quite different, think Pear, blue cheese, thyme smoked bacon, and an ever changing Pizza of the Week flavour. I had to settle for an apple cider when I last visited; while admittedly very tasty, I was keen to try the grape and berry cider (sadly sold out). They've got a whole heap of seating, indoors and outdoors, making it suitable for group gatherings. Often there is a band playing in the afternoon. Tip: Browse the nearby boutique shops in The Tannery complex while you wait for friends (or inbetween drinks).
Good service and quality hearty food. Beers are good too. You can take a good size party with you and sit outside with the option of dropping down partitions to separate you from others. They also have a large outdoor screen for when the big games are on.
