There’s 3 types of seating tables for a la carte ordering, a small number of booths positioned beside part of the sushi train and then bar stools just in the other side.<br/ <br/ We always try to get a booth but be warned the bar stools will get first pick of the food as it comes out. <br/ <br/ There’s a wide selection of sushi, fried foods such as chicken wings, spring rolls, squid etc and also a reasonable range of desserts. If what you are after isn’t appearing you can always order off the conveniently provided menu.<br/ <br/ The food is generally hot and they stock up very quickly so there are never many gaps for long. Of course some food disappears faster than others depending on where along the train line you are.<br/ <br/ Food is always of very good quality but if you pick a quiet night you’ll get sparse offerings so be warned on that aspect too. A favourite is the Salmon Nigiri with Japanese Mayo. flame seared so it’s just ever so slightly warmed with a smoky flavour. <br/ <br/ Kumo is NOT the cheapest of the Sushi Train options in Christchurch but to my mind it’s well worth the price for a bit more peace and quiet and decent quality food.
Tuesdays all you can eat sushi train is definitely worth it.
If you're a sushi lover, this one's for you.. unli sushi you'll definitely go out full.! just keep track on your plates and it's prices
Could not recommend this place enough!! Super friendly staff, and they were so helpful catering to my dietary needs and special requests. Will most definitely be back!!<br/ <br/ Thank you to all the staff for a pleasant experience
We came here on Tuesday, when the 'all you can eat ' was going on. It was $38 per person, and my group ended up being split up since it was a rather large group. <br/ <br/ Staff were super accommodating and we were brought a plate of misc. fried foods really quickly, and they were almost too quick with cleaning up our finished plates because we wanted to keep track of how much we ate haha. <br/ <br/ I would definitely recommend going to the 'all you can eat ' if you want to try out a lot of things. There were a lot of 'unique ' kinds of sushi there that were nice to try that I probably wouldn 't have otherwise, like a doritos flavour, chicken nugget, and raw octopus. Surprisingly, the dessert they provided was really good. My favourite dish was probably the vegetable tempura.
