Gumption Restaurant Bar - Christchurch

I liked eating and service on a recent Saturday night visit in gumption. both of the escaped and net were great and I liked the ability to choose two sides a sauce to fit their main dish. the service was excellent and wein refill were constant without asking. spacious modern restaurant. the wine list by the glass had some good options. excellent.

One of the best kept secrets of the new Christchurch dining scene, this restaurant in the march opens the distinction hotel in the framework of the Ex-Millennium hotel. beautiful decor with a comfortable atmosphere, the service was spectacular! but above all, eating was absolutely breathtaking. general portion sizes, fresh ingredients, oral water presentation and skillful spicing and balance of aromen. this is my new favorite rehabilitation. will be back.

We had a really good experience. For was amazing, and the service was top notch. Montana is an excellent wait staff.

Not bad. Ordered the duck breast and lamb rack main. Very tasty duck but lamb a bit lacking cooked well but a bit insubstantial. Not enough meat and the sauce really lacked depth of flavour or in fact any flavour at all. The Gumption sandwich was just too savoury. Needs more sweetness. The pineapple helped but wasn't enough. I was left searching for sweetness even sticking the star anise in mouth for relief. The balance was missed there. Great staff though, might try the venison next time.
