Golden Fish - Christchurch

It was ok overall. Blue cod was nice, chips were average. Sweet and sour pork was very good. Price was on par with other fish n chip shops.

SoGood! Had a Chicken burger with two chicken fillets, very tender and juicy. I reccomend the Chicken Burger and the Chicken Nibbles, it was very delectable!!!

Great menu, and fish options. Good clean store inside and out. Friendly, helpful staff. We phone ordered and our food was ready within minutes of arriving. Unfortunately our food was a little undercooked and the fat was old and affected the taste. We have been here in the past and it’s been good. Will try again sometime, hopefully we get a good night.

On my one and only visit here Wed 1/3/23) I ordered a Giant Burger $13) and Chips $4.20). The chips were small in their portion, blatantly re cooked, and absolutely smothered in salt. Horrible. The burger started out pretty good though a bit sloppily put together), maybe a 7/10, but about 3/4 of the way through it I caught sight of the bacon it wasn't cooked. An hour later I had stomach pain, and then diarrhoea. The next morning I had diarrhoea again, and was dehydrated for the entire day, despite my best efforts. I wasn't feeling great. I still don't feel 100%, and I'd wager I'll have diarrhoea again on my next visit to the bathroom. Yay for food poisoning. I won't be going here again.

Very nice, had 2 fish, hot dog and half a scoop. Well cooked, crisp batter and moist fish. Chips were premo, homemade chunkies and cooked to perfection. Only disappointment was no sauce on HD, but I can forgive! Overall, get in there.
