Dosa Kitchen - Christchurch

This was my first experience with dosa, and it was absolutely fantastic! I had a gluten-free dosa along with a delicious mango lassi. It was the perfect discovery. Just around the corner in the same marketplace, there’s a shop with an entire counter filled with gluten-free slices, biscuits, cheesecakes, and more, all marked with a Coeliac-safe sign. What a wonderful way to kick off my trip!

The people here are incredibly kind, and the dosas are delicious! If you're at Riverside Market, I highly recommend Dosa Kitchen as one of the best spots to grab a bite. Finding a place to sit can be a bit tricky, but isn't that just a sign of a thriving business? After all, what’s a great establishment without fantastic food?

Ordered two curries and a naan lunch meal with butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Butter chicken didn't taste the way its normally done in NZ, tikka was good. Both curries were a bit more watery, so that's something to take note of if you were wanting the creamier version. Also had the masala chai which tasted good but was a bit too sweet. Think their dosas are a better option.
