My cousin, the native Limeno, brought us into this magnificent restaurant hidden in the inner depths of Chorillo, a fun and sometimes dangerous neighborhood of Lima, the large criollo restaurants serving first-class seafood. That's one of them. A stylish joint where few, if any tourists are seen, this place is a favorite of locals and it provides. After a mouth of water Aguadito, which was on the house, we had to begin Ceviche and Conchitas (Mussel Peruvian style) and both were classic, but had some new turns to them. My Corvina a la chorillana was perfectly cooked with the fish. All our dishes were elegantly presented and the taste was authentic and subtle. If you can get a local or a worthy taxi driver to get you to this wonderful restaurant absolutely. This is how to eat Peruans and you will love it.
In my humble opinion, this is one of the best ceviches in Lima. I like the Causa, ceviche diplomatico, risotto and tacu tacu 3 quesos.
Excellent Peruvian cuisine when I visited my family in Lima, I took them all to this restaurant. Excelente food and service.
I wanted to take some friends to eat fish in Chorrillos, but having been to La Herradura before and due to our tight budget, I did a search for restaurants in Chorrillos here on Tripadvisor and this one was the best of the 12 restaurants listed here. Couldn 't really located the restaurant with Google street view, but with the address on here and the restaurant 's website we took the chance. Be aware that the restaurant doesn 't have any sign or so, but it can be found in the corner of a parking space in the 3rd block of Av. Nueva York. We arrived before Peruvian lunch time finding the restaurant almost empty with a team of waiters ready to seat us. The four of us each ordered a different dish, we all were rather content with the food. Although, they faked us with the Chicharron de pescado, serving small pieces of not much fish and mostly flour under the bigger chunks. Prices starting around S/. 30 for Ceviche and Chicharron. If you look for a great experience eating seafood at the ocean, don 't think this is the Paraiso to be, you 'd better drive a little further to the restaurants at the beach of La Herradura
