Nothing from Ceveceria Modelo, which includes Modelo, Corona and Victoria. Thirdly, I ordered a Cemita, a typical Puebla sandwich. While all ingredients were good, they gave me only two micro slices of tomatoes to cover 20% of bread, 3 micro slices of avocado, which perhaps covered 15% of the bread surface, and about three parrot leaves (required ingredient), which perhaps covered only 10% of the surface. To save a few pesos that really made the sandwich is second rate. And finally and the most annoying, adding the tip for you on the bill. So you have to be careful or otherwise you will pay a tip on the top. Now for the positive. The waiter was really good. The physical space is large, spacious and pleasant. I think some of the foods are actually quite good from what I can see. But it seems that it will be hit with this place and miss.
I have traveled to Mexico many times, and this place has become one of my worst culinary experiences ever. The waiter immediately told us that they were out of the chicken so half of the items on the menu removed. We asked what kind of aguas frescas they had, and he said they were all out. We order soft drinks and I guess they were also made of glasses because we drank from the bottle. The dinner of my friend was served long before me (probably about 20 minutes). I told him to go and eat, but he couldn't, ever since he had no knife to cut his flesh. We finally got the waiter's attention and asked for a knife. He finally brought one when he finally served my dinner. The meal was nothing special. The Frijoles refritos were watery and the tortillas (supposedly handmade) were hard and lukewarm. Then on the bill they had the effrontery at the price with lace (optional, but I wonder how many people notice it). We always type well, but on this occasion we have less tipped than the proposed amount.
The restaurant opens only on weekends. You have 2 large terraces with water fountain in one. Very relaxing at the Zócalo. We had Mixiotes de canero (sheep strew) and Tacos de cecina (beef) with Cebollitas (onions from the grill). Typical Mexican food like the locals. The true taste of Mexico!
Even though the front of this restaurant is very small, it is rather large further back. The mixiote that I had was very good and recommendable. I hope to go back here soon.
We went to San Pedro de Cholula to see the pyramid and walk around us came over this restaurant, perfect for lunch. Amazing mole and good service. Very typical restaurant.
