Anchor Fish And Chips - Chipping Ongar

This restaurant has the most incredible chips and all the toppings that come with them. I really love haddock, and it's always perfectly cooked here. They also offer everything you'd expect from a fish and chip shop, including some excellent burgers and grilled or fried chicken. Whenever I find myself nearby, I can't resist stopping in! The staff are also lovely. I’d give it five stars!

This must be one of the best fish and chip shops around. The fish is always beautifully cooked and juicy, and the chips are fantastic. I highly recommend trying the pork ribs as well; they're big, juicy, and slathered in delicious BBQ sauce. They might just be the best I've had in Essex. I highly recommend the Anchor in Ongar. Keep up the great work!

This chip shop is excellent! If I lived any farther away, I would still happily drive the 20 minutes just to enjoy their fish and chips.

Best fish and chips in Essex! Fish is always perfect and the chips are spot on. They have really come into their own through lock down refusing to shut. Hat off to you guys
