The aromas were on point, especially the kimbap, which was the best I've ever had. The prices were also reasonable. I will definitely be ordering from here regularly during quarantine.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks here at Bimbim Bar. In particular, the chicken wings were extremely crispy and coated in hot, sticky sauce. Bibimbap was verging on too spicy for me but I could see it being a crowd pleaser for those who can handle the heat. I also loved the fact that you could order a mini hot pot dish to share with friends. I'd recommend the Budae JJigae If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!
Seems ok. A notable thing was that none of the basic bibimbap, or the spicy pork that I added to it, or the babball fry described as kimchi, fried rice and cheese arancini had much flavour. Couldn't taste any kimchi at all. A couple of things redeemed them firstly, they provided a couple of really tasty sauces that almost made up for the lack of any other flavour, and secondly, the bibimbap might not look big but they're filling it with the good stuff and...read more
Who would have thought a bar in a Korean restaurant? Yes, this place is definitely where it's at! The comfort food and cocktails are perfect for a Friday or Saturday night. It's the ideal atmosphere to kick back and relax with friends or family while enjoying some delicious comfort food. I especially love their bibimbap and ramen stew (budae jjigae)!
With the addition of vibrant Korean-inspired dishes like the comforting Korean army stew, Nighthawk Diner has seamlessly transformed into Bibimbar. The friendly young staff, dressed in orange and white striped shirts and gloves, has replaced the traditional decor with a more modern look, swapping out bloody marys for soy cocktails and tabasco for gochujang. I tried the pink cotton candy frozen margarita and found it to be overly sweet. Despite the arrival of the cotton candy cloud, the drink left something to be desired.
