Contribuiți la feedbackI recently visited this restaurant and had a disappointing experience. I had just finished TAFE and was looking to unwind with a quiet drink by myself. I arrived at 4:55 and went to the bar at 6:08 to order a drink. However, I was informed that boots were not acceptable after 6:00, which I wish I had been warned about earlier. Although there was a sign on the door stating this policy, I had not noticed it until I left the establishment. I found this policy to be discriminatory, especially considering that most other male patrons were wearing shorts and sandals. When I expressed my frustration to the manager, who appeared unprofessional in comparison, his response was dismissive. I felt unwelcome and would not recommend this pub to blue-collar workers in Sydney or visitors from abroad.
The manager, a little blonde woman, provided rude service. I will not be returning and do not recommend anyone else dine here.
You have a very good Thai cuisine. Same people running at Charlie Chan's kitchen. Good pub classic too. But for a pub that claims to be a student pub, drink prices apart from the doubtful happy hour and late night specials, are ridiculous.... $23 for a jug of cooperating green? Get out of the grass. Other for value
Excellent food. Well, seriously delicious food. I had the chicken pillow thai; absolutely amazing and fresh tasting. You have to pay seperate for food from drinks, and you also have to pay with cash for food – an inconvenience. The ambience is a bit, on average. Think at tables and stools made of stainless steel and the general environment of a TAB. I hope it never changes. There's a whole mood in there, and I think about my next meal!
Seats at the window, make this a great spot to just watch the world go by. Food looked amazing but we didn't order, we were told we had to order and pay separately and pay cash only, which seemed strange! Bar itself is good, was...great to have a phone charging station even if you're constantly watching it, but as it wasn't very busy, it wasn't too difficult to keep an eye on it.
