The food was mediocre and lacked flavor. They only offered bottled salsa, and if they had any fresh options, we didn't receive them or they weren't available. I had high expectations based on the reviews, but it didn't live up to them. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Would I return? Probably not, unless I'm really craving seafood and want something close by.

I decided to order takeout for my family. I first attempted to call in our order, but the phone line was busy, so I ended up going in person. It seems they might turn off the phones on Fridays or during Lent, which contributed to the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. There was a bit of a wait, and you need to order at the register and pay upfront. They accept both cash and cards. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. I ordered a Sonora taco, which features battered fish and shrimp topped with cabbage, onions, and tomatoes all wrapped in a flour tortilla, complemented by a tasty cream sauce. It was absolutely delightful and priced at $3.49 each. I also tried the fish tacos, which are similar to the Sonora taco but served on a corn tortilla, and those were under $2. Additionally, I sampled my mom's corn cake, which was sweet and delicious, also priced at $3.49.

They can make it with sparkling mineral water instead of beer. Don’t forget to ask for the roasted chili—they’re free and incredibly tasty, seasoned with a delightful blend of salt and tajin that pairs well with everything on the menu. I always go for the Tostada Killer with shrimp. Priced at just under $10, it leaves you feeling full and ready for a nap afterwards!
