Aj's On The Creek - CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND

Food is very good indeed. We had scallop Caesar salad and broiled scallops with a half dozen raw oysters to start. Everything was delicious, best tasting oysters we had on the island. Prices are a high though and the restaurant was weirdly cold inside.

The view was lovely and our server was great but the food... was absolutely delicious. It's rare that I love everything that's ordered and every bite. The cream of crab with good sized pieces of fresh juicy crab. I sopped up the last of it with the warm buttered bread and could have enjoyed just that for a meal it was so tasty. The sea scallops seared to absolute melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I stole a couple from my companion's dinner and added them to my delicious baked Mac-n-cheese, which I'm pretty certain was the best mac-n-cheese I've ever had. Then My jumbo butterfly coconut shrimp with a def homemade-from-scratch mango chutney that was so fresh and Delicious tasting! I took three of them to go in a doggy bag and they didn't survive the car ride home. Everything was cooked to perfect temps and I felt it was all made with great care and attention to make everything simply delicious. Thank you for making every bite enjoyable, it was the best meal I've had in a very long time. And for such quality food, I think they're reasonably priced too! I wish so badly there was a restaurant near me that served such great food; I doubt I'd ever dine out anywhere else! What I'd give for that cream of crab soup rn... Or the scallops..

Wonderful view! Very attentive staff and very good food

We enjoyed a lovely group dinner here. Arrived late afternoon in fine weather. Later watched a beautiful sunset through the windows. Nice ambiance here, everything clean and shiny. Wait staff professional and polite. My grilled salmon was just right with crispy green beans and spinach with garlic. Nice job!

Love the food. However disappointed that they can be “to busy” to call in for take out. All I wanted was soup. Guess we will start hitting the other establishments on the island if they do t want our business.
