Palms Restaurant & Bar - Chinchilla

We had the vegetarian stuffed pumpkin - I'm sure the menu said cashew nut but could be wrong - it had peanuts. It was okay but may have been better with some kinds of sauce option on the side. We also had the herb crusted lamb. The lamb was nice. We are here for another night but it wasn't special enough to bring us back for a 2nd meal. Service okay. We normally take photos if we love a meal but didn't warranty that for us anyway tonight.

I have been here with my Husband to celebrate my next 1st birthday. We dressed up in elegant clothes, and upon arrival we immediately felt that it was the right choice: The restaurant looks beautiful, the service first-class, and the presentation of our dishes just like in a five-star place.The food was delicious! We tried to eat quickly and slowly at the same time; quickly because the meals were simply provoking us, but also slowly so that we can enjoy the magnificent taste of each and every meal as long as possible...The Owner served us, and he is a most easy-going, polite gentleman.We know that the chef and the menu is renewed. The chef was previously an apprentice here. He went to Dalby for one year, but then returned to the very same place where he practised this profession... What does it tell you?For us, it meant quality and a starlet memory.If you are in Chinchilla, dining in this restaurant is an absolute must.

Our guys always stayed here a few years ago, but never again the food was as bad as the service. Beer hot!

No prior booking. Quickly shown to our table. Drinks order taken and served promptly. Suggestion for new release beer and it was good. Plenty of time to peruse the menu. Great selection of meals. Chose the scallop entrée (shared)- not what I expected but devine. Chose seafood gumbo & pork belly for mains. Pork cooked well maybe a touch dry on the outside(from heat lamps?) Great veges. Gumbo not as spicy as expected but an enjoyable meal. Good serving size. Couldn't fit in desert but pecan pie sounded great. Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful service.Definitely visit again for a special occasion.

What a surprise!This unassuming restaurant is attached to the Palms Motel and is certainly a must do experience when either on business in or travelling through Chinchilla. Charming welcoming staff, soft lighting and a tantalising menu. The Queensland line caught swordfish with mango and coriander salsa was excellent. The menu offers a selection of suitable wines to accompany. Desert also reflected a sharp and smooth experience with a lime tart and coconut ice cream. Well done Chef and staff.
