Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery

Awesome spot after a hike. Direct access to the river where you can dip your toes or your dogs paws while enjoying some legit brews and tasty bbq and look up at Chimney Rock. I got the pulled pork sandwich and I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat. It was really juicy on an awesome brioche bun. Come hang out!

Had a quick lunch here today after hiking Rumbling Bald. I had the pretzels; they were delicious. We would have had a beer too but were already overheated and needed to drive back to our campsite. The staff was really friendly and personable. We sat outside with our two dogs and appreciated the water tap available to fill their bowl.

Super cool spot! Beer is great and the river is gorgeous. Only a 4 because they stop serving food at 7:00 seemed early as we were staying next door and wanted to grab dinner after long day of hiking we were too late though:

Great ambiance, right on the river and occasionally they have live music. Not a lot of indoor seating. You can bring your kids and dogs but they must be accompanied everywhere. The food is brewery food. Flavorful but not gourmet, goes good with beer and soda. You order at the bar, pick up the food on your own. No table service is provided. Would be good for a casual lunch or dinner.

Great location on the river, excellent views! Good food, great beers, and live music.
