Merlin's Cave Pub And - Chiltern

We had made a reservation to gather and remember our uncle who passed away in July. After another pub was unable to accommodate our group of 14, we booked Merlin's Cave instead. We all pre-ordered roast dinners and were greeted by a very friendly and efficient hostess. Our meals were brought out simultaneously about 20 minutes after being seated, with extra-large Yorkshire puddings offered multiple times. The entire lunch lasted 3 hours and we were well taken care of, with drinks being served promptly. We were extremely happy with our choice of venue as the food was excellent, the staff were delightful, and the decor and ambiance were perfect. This was an important event for us and we couldn't have picked a better place.

This was my first visit to the restaurant since it was taken over by Youngs. The menu is unexciting, the decor is dull, and the atmosphere is lacking. It was simply unremarkable. The food was decent, but all the intriguing dishes that were once offered have been replaced with basic options like steak, burgers, and Caesar salad.

Absolutely nice eating. there was a little waiting when it was very busy, but it was absolutely worth it. is definitely recommended to others. thanks also for the great table service!

Booked a table for a mixed family group of 10 19:00 that was a must, when the restaurant itself soon became quite bizzy I should imagine that others had preordered. as for the restaurant itself. amazing as soon as they go through the door...with a lot of quirky decoration that catches the eye. (brill) the workers were also on the top level. I'm sorry. all orders (also all foods on the menu could be half portions for the little ones) served without complicating any haste to clear. compliments to the chef when the food was/is the tops...we will surely be back. thanks to all for a fab, the Dine experience.

Very cooler place to visit. be ready to enter in water, worth everything.
