Food as good as ever. Langoustines to die for to start with, followed by entrecôte cooked to perfection.
From the moment we walked in the door, the service was perfect. We were greeted with respect and deference; someone took our coats (and wet umbrellas) and hung them in a closet. Then we were seated at a comfortably large table by the window. Staff magically appeared whenever needed, and disappeared discreetly once their functions were completed. All the rules of good service were punctiliously observed. We were a party of four. One of the ladies had the fish special from the chalkboard, and pronounced it excellent. Her husband chose the Filet de Boeuf Charolais and was equally pleased. I'm a lamb lover, so the Medaillon De Selle D'Agneau was a no-brainer. Once again, nothing to fault this dish on. The menu clearly indicates which dishes may contain certain allergens, but even so, my wife was unable to find anything that did not violate her food restrictions. No problem, said the waiter, and disappeared to the kitchen. He reappeared a few minutes later and told her that the chef could put together a Salade Composée that would meet all her requirements. It turned out to be the most successful of our four meals, in terms of customer enjoyment. If there was anything that would keep this restaurant from a five star rating, it would be the ambience. A large echoing vault surrounds the dining area, and it might be unpleasantly noisy when the room is full. Fortunately, it was not crowded at the time, and we had an enormously pleasant dining experience.
A beautiful cathedral room that must be a little cold in winter especially near the glass. but a kitchen that warms the heart the holy jacques (whole menu dedicated to this bivalve) were well prepared with a delicious sauce. The fish delighted my husband and the dessert was fun.
Very good restaurant in a friendly setting. The dishes were good, fresh and copied. nice presentation of the plates.
