Italian Cottage Restaurant - Chico

Italian Cottage has been the Best restaurant since I was knee high too a Grasshopper. Everyone I know has enjoyed their food, service and atmosphere. I ordered the little sicilian sandwich Garlic bulb.

My favorite place to eat in Chico. Pizza is amazing with a soda bread-like crust, lasagna is delicious, my husband loves their black bean chilli. Their Bleu cheese salad dressing is the BEST ever! I buy it alone as a to-go for salads at home. Service is always friendly.

I moved to Chico about 5 years ago. I loved coming here and the food was delicious. However, this restaurant has gone down hill fast. The prices are ridiculous, and the food isn’t even cooked properly. I had the chicken Parmesan, when I took a bite it was cold. I sent it back, and when I bit into it…it was rock hard and burned. Then I decided to just pay my bill and leave. The manager was told about the poorly cooked food to which she responded “oh you must tell us and we can fix it.” Right? I had already sent it back before. I won’t be going back and encourage you to spend your money elsewhere.

I moved away from Chico in 1995, I moved back. Was not through these doors and 25 years, but when I was past the new garden area in the front, only the sawdust was missing on the ground. My favorite dish here is the Tortellini with meat sauce. There was no discernible difference from the last dish I had in the early 90s to what I had eaten yesterday. Kudos in Italian holiday home for tradition and consistency thank you for a wonderful welcome house.
