The Star Garter - Chichester

We had a surprising experience after being overlooked by other local accommodations at the last minute. What a find! We should have booked this place first. The lodging was excellent, and the meals—breakfast and dinner—were fantastic. The menu offered a great selection of fish specialties. If we return to this area, we will definitely come back here. Nestled in the countryside, this charming pub offers delightful food, though it comes at a steep price. The beautiful garden features cozy pods for seating, perfect for rainy days. The decor reflects a local theme, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. There's also a separate bar that adds a nice touch, distanced from the restaurant area. The pub has an Irish flair, in keeping with the jovial spirit of its owner.

The service was excellent, and the pub itself is lovely. My fish was good, but the parsnip was nearly raw, and the potatoes were overly dry. The location is beautiful, and they are very dog-friendly. There is wheelchair and stroller access, and the ladies' room has a changing station for babies.

We just had a fabulous evening. with a delicious on-the-house stater solicited to try out (very tasty,) followed by wonderful fantasies of main courses with beautiful presentation. could not resist pudding, homemade chocolate brownies and cheesecake, just perfect! we will soon be back with the rest of the family, thank you.

Never been to the Star and Garter before dog friendly we sat in garden ,all very clean ,garden pleasant,lots space.staff friendly and efficient, menu excellent varied choices, daily specials, meals well cooked and presented. A good lunch,left feeling relaxed and well fed
