The Bell Inn - Chichester

The food at this restaurant is always absolutely delicious. We both tried the open sandwiches and chips, which were served quickly despite the busy atmosphere. The portion sizes were generous and the staff were fantastic - always friendly, smiling, and willing to help with anything.

The Bell has returned to its former high standards. The atmosphere on a Saturday night was fantastic, and we received a warm welcome. It was difficult to choose from the menu as everything looked delicious, but we ended up ordering the Special Jagerschnitzel and hake as main courses. Both dishes were moist and full of flavor. We will definitely be returning.

I've been visiting here for many many years, but I'm sorry to say lately its been disappointing compared to what it used to be. Fishcakes were mostly egg and kind of omelette like, chips were frenchfries and.quite well done, coleslaw was tasteless and just came across as cream with cabbage service was great, but sorry, but it's a no from me.

The Bell Inn is a great local pub that ticks all the boxes. It has a nice selection of drinks (including one of the most refreshing Staropramen pints I've ever had), serves delicious food (the focaccia is a must-try) and its dog-friendly which is nice. Plus, it's a great spot to watch the rugby on their large projector. Overall, a must-visit if you're in the area!
