The Friday nite fish fry and the everyday Walleye bites are awesome. And the burgers are huge and delicious. The place has a great atmosphere with plenty of TVs and friendly staff.
After hearing about the Friday fish fry, we decided to give it a try. Both of us grew up in Wisconsin, so we are familiar with fish fries and what a "Wisconsin bar" should offer. We were extremely pleased that we did! I have fond memories of my family's place on Lac Courte O’Reilles outside of Hayward, and we even have a donor brick at the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, so seeing those pictures was a special moment for me. The fish was cooked perfectly! We also enjoyed the Woody-style poutine, cheese curds, and an old fashioned cocktail. It truly felt like a home away from home. Despite being very busy, we had a fantastic time.
I absolutely adore this local bar in the neighborhood. Make sure to try the cheese curds (with extra ranch!) and the Reuben sandwich when you visit. I've ordered it over 4 times and have never been disappointed! (See attached picture) The bartenders are extremely friendly and there are 5 dart boards available to play on. I recommend playing in the back room for more space. There are plenty of TVs throughout the bar to watch any games as well. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5
I immediately felt at home with the rustic décor featuring Camp Randall and Leine's Beer logos, stained glass windows depicting black bears and moose, and a perfect spot to watch the Packers game and celebrate their win!
Gets pretty crowded, but a super fun bar for 20-30 year olds! The decor is wacky/goofy lol. The “Gussie” drink is amazing!
