Contribuiți la feedbackI visited The Perch on June 28 with my sister. Our first waiter seemed disinterested; he brought our menus and then just left, never returning to check on us. Eventually, Tim A. came to our table and introduced himself as our server, expressing his confusion about what happened with the other waiter. He was fantastic—very attentive and knowledgeable. For appetizers, I ordered the cornbread and my sister chose the spinach and artichoke dip. The cornbread was delicious and moist, while the dip was quite decent. However, for the main course, I had the steak frites, and my sister had the rotisserie chicken, and we were both disappointed with our meals. Personally, I wouldn’t return because the food didn't meet my expectations, but I do appreciate Tim's excellent service.
Everything started off great until our waiter had more tables than she could handle and forgot about us. Tables that came in after us placed entree orders and had their food before us. Food was good! Shrimp was spicy ???? and cornbread was ????. Myentree of the rotisserie chicken and mash came out COLD. Returned and came back much better. Salmon was good and even triedtheir in-house made flavored beer ????????
The Perch has lovely outdoor seating. We were in the beer garden. We saw lots of cute dogs, so I assume dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating areas. The food was very good, we had the shrimp, spinach dip, brussel sprout salad, and steak frites. But aboveall, I was really impressed with the service. The waitress was very helpful with selecting drinks and when we had an issue withour food, it was resolved and recooked immediately. I was really pleased with the speed we got our food for how good it was. This is the perfect spot to visit for some relaxing, casual dining. Edit: The issue we had with our food was that there was alittle strip of plastic in the steak. The steak was very kindly and quickly replaced but we took it to-go. When we heated it upat home, we discovered there was another piece of plastic. Not sure where this plastic is possibly coming from or how it was inthe steak both times. The food itself was good and again, the service was top notch. But I'm a little concerned about where thestrips of plastic are coming from. (Looking back, you can kind of see it in my photo of the steak, near the bottom right on topof the meat and under the sauce)
I visited the restaurant on a Sunday with a group of about 15 people. It was quite busy, so the kitchen was likely overwhelmed. We ordered a large amount of food, but unfortunately, about half of it arrived cold. We also had to send back two dishes because they were incorrect. My friends had spoken highly of the sliders, so we decided to order four servings of them, and they did not disappoint—they were excellent. The shrimp was really tasty as well, and I enjoyed the blueberry cornbread. However, I wasn’t a fan of the brisket hash that I tried.
For drinks, my husband ordered a mocktail mojito, which he really enjoyed. I had a Bloody Mary that came with a beer chaser. It was thick and spicy, and I appreciated the addition of the beer. As for appetizers, we tried the lobster deviled eggs. I appreciated that our waiter suggested adding a fourth egg, since they originally came with just three. They were a bit messy but incredibly tasty. I loved the combination of the sweet lobster with the tangy mustard. The cheese curds were massive! I also liked that they fried the giardiniera to add a nice pickled element to balance out the richness of the fried cheese. For the main course, we shared the tuna salad. The ahi was perfectly cooked, and I really enjoyed the ginger dressing with hints of mango and avocado. The pickled ginger was a lovely touch as well. Overall, this place is fantastic, and we will definitely be returning!
