The Franklin Room - Chicago

A super cool ambiance and fabulous food and service. The tuna crudo was amazing and the sea bass was excellent. The old fashioned is a great drink with delicious nuance. Fun new spot I could imagine my parents would have enjoyed in the 1940s!

This restaurant is a gem in the area. I appreciate the prohibition ambiance and the staff are all so good at everything they do. The food is exceptional and the menu is art. The flavors are incredibly thoughtful and the cocktails were very well done. The bar tender was super talented with whipping together drinks. I really enjoyed the rib eye and steak tar tar but honestly I got to sample quite a few dishes and I think anyone would be pleased with anything on the menu. The Chef, Namo Chowcharoen is wonderfully talented and exceptionally kind. His love and appreciation for his customers really shows up in his food. All of the ingrediants are chosen with care and always at high quality for the right taste. He makes it easy to support him in his craft. I am excited to return to The Franklin Room for another meal and I often tell friends about it. I fully belive you will find food to enjoy here and want to come back.

This restaurant has a bad smell when you walk in, which is not something you want in a restaurant. It smells like they need to run a dehumidifier or work on some plumbing issue. The cocktails were amazing. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Steak tartare, branzino, chocolate crunch. What's not to love? If they figure out that bad smell, it would be a highly recommended spot in River North.
