Tango Sur - Chicago

Had a nice dinner with friends. Candlelit and soft warm lighting is nice but makes it impossible to read the menus. Most guests were using their phones for lighting. My mixed grill was so-so. No starch but nice side salad served with meal. The layer of oil on bottom of my grill was not appetizing. The crispy quick breads and Argentinean sausage were the only highlights. Maybe an off night but the short ribs were overmarbled and gummy. About 20% edible...Also, the sauce that was offered was too oily and flavorless. My friends enjoyed their Salmon and Pasta dishes, however. Nice bathroom has some ADA compliance. Careful at entry for a 2-3 trip step outside entry door! Lastly, the noise level by 7:00pm was unbearable. We couldn't communicate well above the din... BYOB was very nice.

This is definitely a go to! For a evening with friends or a date! Great service, food and atmosphere.....will be back...it may be a wait, but we'll worth it! Ohh itsa byob kinda place...

For those who love red meat, this restaurant offers moderately priced big cuts of Argentine style steaks. The place is also BYOB, and that might be a bonus both in quality and in savings. The rest of the food is mediocre at best. Service is inefficient and inattentive. The dining room is pitch black, it's hard to see the food and a single taper that they place on the table is somewhat of a fire hazard.

Too loud and cramped for my taste. The main dining area only has candles to read the menu. We had to turn on our phone flashlights to read the menu. Unless the person was sitting next to you or across from you, it was difficult to carry a conversation. The food was great, and the portion was more than satisfying. Parking was a real challenge. Suggest taking an Uber after 5:00 pm. They don't have parking or valet service. Default not wheelchair accessible.
