Tandoor Char House - Chicago

Wonderful people and AMAZING food! I've been coming here since I moved to Chicago and I highly recommend it!!!!!!!

There are definitely plenty of Indian restaurants in this area, particularly along this stretch of Halsted in Lakeview. Tandoor Chef is one of them...

The restaurant lost a star due to its unsustainable environmental practices, particularly the use of Styrofoam and its negative impact on our planet. I cannot support the use of Styrofoam.

The lamb tandoori was fantastic, and the tandoori chicken empanadas were outstanding! It was a wonderful meal, clearly made with care and passion.

Small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, all the meat we ordered was overcooked and the overall quality of the food didn't quite meet our expectations. However, the bread and sauces were enjoyable. The waitress was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed and lacking a proper system. I would recommend this place primarily for takeout or delivery. I wouldn't mind the slightly higher prices if the ambiance were nicer and the place had a pleasant smell. I apologize for the negative review, but I was genuinely disappointed.
