Tan Lu Tàn Lú - Chicago

This restaurant serves some of the best fish and hotpots I have ever tasted. They grill the fish until the skin is crispy and charred, then serve it in a flavorful and spicy broth. The vegetable toppings complement the dish perfectly. I also highly recommend trying the chicken and other dishes, which offer unique twists on traditional Sichuan flavors.

Fantastic! We were delighted to have tried this restaurant. The fish dish was superb and flavorful, although it was a bit overpowering with garlic. The sides were excellent, especially the meat spreads which were tasty and creamy. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the dining area was clean. This restaurant is a refreshing change from others in the area. A must-try for those looking for a unique dining experience instead of the typical Asian restaurant. I would definitely recommend giving it a try for something different.

We visited this restaurant for the first time and we completely loved everything about it. The staff was fantastic and very attentive to their customers. The flavors were absolutely amazing, especially when dining with a larger group. We will definitely be returning.

Eating is super tasty, and really authentic Chinese cuisine. my personal favorite is her bbq spits, especially lamb and bark spits are my favorites. it's a must try! they must try their lambspoke, I think it's the top ones-skewer in chicago. the people work here very nice and friendly. make sure that the fish takes a little longer to cook, ready to wait, I usually order only the spits.

Small and fairly stylish place with good side dishes. Only once have I tried the hotpot we ordered the frog legs. They were kind of smallish, but good, and the broth was on point. I wish there had been more veggies in the dish, the potatoes and lettuce were kind of lacking.The customer service is good and friendly, and the vibe is pretty energetic and cozy.
