Sprinkles Cupcakes - Chicago

I'll get straight to the point: Sprinkles, located in Downtown Chicago, offers the absolute best vegan red velvet cupcakes in the city. I had a friend who isn't vegan try one, and he was amazed that it was vegan. He even said it tasted better than a regular red velvet cake! My only complaint is the limited selection of vegan options. I adore the red velvet cupcake, but I wish there were more choices available.

Let me clarify that I'm usually not a fan of cupcakes, primarily because I find the frosting too sweet and the cake average at best. However, Sprinkles changes all of that. This renowned cupcake shop features an innovative "Cupcake ATM" outside, making it a unique destination. They offer a wide range of classic and seasonal flavors, as well as options for various dietary needs. The staff is always friendly and maintain a sense of calm, even during busy times. The cupcakes are made with high-quality ingredients, achieving the perfect balance between frosting and cake. The shop's simple yet colorful design enhances the overall experience, leaving you eager to return.

I'm usually not a fan of cupcakes, but these are truly exceptional. They taste incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor, without being overly sweet, which strikes a perfect balance. You can place your order at the ATM or inside the shop. I've included a picture for reference to show you where it's located!

Usually good cupcakes. On our last visit we got a strawberry, a banana, and a chocolate, as well as one for the dog. HOWEVER, issues regarding the vending machines are questionably-managed. We once literally got vended an empty box, and never got a resolution to the issue, or even an acknowledgement of the problem. In short, good in-store experience, but poor method of addressing customer complaints.

Loved this bakery, we bought 4 different flavors, the vanilla, triple cinnamon, red velvet and salted caramel. All of them were great, the cake texture was on point and the icing (while dense) was flavorful. Definitely worth trying while visiting <3
