Contribuiți la feedbackWe ordered the barnyard combo and shrimp po’boy. great eating, freshly served, so there is a little waiting. only one server for the evening and she treated the room perfectly.
I went with two friends for the first time, we loved the ambiente and the food was to die, drinks are wonderful, very authentic South food. the server was not attentive and also ignored our table when we are ready to order more drinks and the main course. they need to improve more with the server.
A little pricey but the food is good, I wish I knew the sauce that came with the fried green tomatoes had bacon in it. I don't eat pork. Pearls has the best Cobb salad ever without bacon I ordered it several times. Cocktails, alligator bites were good. I absolutely love the filling delicious Cobb salad, they cut everything so well, all of the flavors combined are absolutely delicious and I get to stay on my health journey.
What a fantastic find!! I had the catfish po boy and reminded me of the first time i had this sandwich way back in 1990. The catfish is perfectly fried and seasoned with lettuce and just the right amount of spicy mayo. The french roll was nicely grilled on flatop that gave it a good crunch but still soft chewy outer crust. Cajun fries was a great compliment. Definitely will need to try their other southern fare. Also staff is very friendly!!
Southern food means comfort food. Louisiana cuisine is a vital part of the comfort food genre. On a stretch of Broadway is Pearls, with its gas lamps welcoming you. We had driven by Pearl 's too many times, so we decided to try it with close friends. The interior is fun, with chandeliers, beads, and the symbols of Louisiana. The ceiling is imposing. The service was attentive. We started with hurricanes and The French 75. Good drinks.Next, we ordered fried green tomatoes and cornbread. Both were decadent and caused our pleasure zones to fire off.We then ordered main courses: Jamabala, Pulled Pork, and Shrimp and Grits. It is here we were disappointed. The food was not hot, and the plating seemed not up to par. The taste was "ok. "We then ordered coffee and two desserts. The coffee was weak and not tasty. They also did not have chickory, which is a very southern coffee. The Nutter Butter Pie, Oreo Cookie Crust, and the Beignets were wonderful. The beignets are more like dough balls, but they were perfectly cooked. It is worth one visit. Would we go back? Not sure.
