Old Town Pub - Chicago

Is there a such thing as zero? My husband and I Walked in to not be greeted and had to ask twice How do we get seated and order? The hostess was talking so fast. We didn't understand her. We ask her to repeat herself. She was too busy entertaining 4 people at the bar. Other than that the place was empty. we sat down and waited 5 minutes noone brought us water or even acknowledged us. We got up and headed toward the bar and the hostess turned her back and kept talking to the 4 patrons at the bar. With that we kept moving out the door. Its 2023 Summer in Chicago not 1923 rural Alabama. I advise all African Americans to avoid this place. I am leaving this post as I stand outside. I dare the owner to run the security tape back and see how workers treat people that are costing you loss of revenue or maybe you condone this behavior.

I was looking for a dive bar for a quick drink. Went in and sat down at the bar. The place was not busy at all, plenty of open seats and tables.The bartender never once greeted me or asked me what I wanted to order. She was far too busy talking to some guy at the bar. She wouldn't even look at me when I looked at her to try and order. Basic customer service is not hard to ask for. If you work in the business of serving customers, you should be greeting people. I waited 10 minutes and left without word. Ridiculous.

It’s alright, however, would be great if there was a popcorn machine.

Loved this dive bar for a chill, laid back night of yummy pub food and beer! i liked the pizza (always a trusty option), but the NACHOS!! probably some of the best nachos i've had in a while. i think what got me was the cheese it was rich and warm but didn't make the chips soggy (in fact, they were veeery crispy), and the toppings to chips ratio was perfect.what we ordered: buffalo chicken pizza house nachos beer hug, stella artois

My friend and I came here for the first time on April 27th and we had a lovely time. Although my order was put in wrong, Calvin made it right! He even went above and beyond and wrapped my leftovers in tinfoil, as I wouldn't have been able to take a box of food into any other bars. Thank you Calvin! We will be back!!
