New Line Tavern - Chicago

We went for lunch on a Tuesday and we only had 45 mins to get in and out. We made a reservation and were sat right away. I liked the tall table that was half chairs, half booth, under the windows. I had the fish tacos with tater tots which was great. My two friends ordered the steak tacos with rice, which they both liked. They brought the check promptly after we finished and we were out in time to get back to work. It was a nice cozy spot on a cold day.

Food was not good. The omelette was paper thin, the chicken sandwich was smothered in so much blue cheese it ruined it, biscuits and gravy had an awful gravy to it, and the hash browns were just mashed up tater tots. Service and drinks were good, however the food was just terrible.

Great atmosphere, great eating, great drinks, what they might want more. mario gave me some recommendations for eating and was an ingenious bartender. when I'm back in chicago, I'll visit again.
