Mi Tocaya - Chicago

This has been the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, without a doubt! It was almost as if I were brought back to Mexico. First off, this place is nice and cozy, and the people here are nice and friendly. So, I ordered the steak burrito, andit was extraordinary! The presentation was good, and the taste was so flavorful it actually lingered in my mouth. I also hadsome cocktails, which were so refreshing and had great balance for me. I am impressed at how high the quality of the ingredientsin their dishes is, and I am definitely going to try more of their dishes soon. This place is great to be in with a companion,and I highly recommend it.

The ceviche was flavorful but the fried oyster taco and the chicken taco platter were out of this world! The only reason I decided to deduct a star is because the host seemed absolutely disinterested in seating us. Admittedly we got there 30 minutesbefore closing time but I don't think that's an excuse to treat us poorly. There was clearly an empty table but we still had towait 10 minutes before being seated.

Fantastic take on authentic Mexican food! Unique ingredients and powerful flavors. Perhaps a tad too salty for my liking, but I would come here again. Many vegetarian and pescatarian options.

Everything was perfect. can?t believe it took so long to come here. the broccolini was to die for. the shrimp was the best i?ve ever had. steak burrito was the best burrito i?ve ever had, and the birria ????????????????????i love this place!

Had the agua de jamaica and a huarache. The huarache was bursting with flavor. It was so fresh tasting and had many layers. One of the best I?ve ever had. The jamaica was mild but refreshing. The pasta straw was the best I?ve ever used. Didn?t know it waspasta but felt good to know it was eco friendly. Service was kind and informative. They helped me with my dietary allergies andprovided a thorough description of the food which did its complexity justice.
