Le Colonial Chicago

Absolutely delicious food and a very cool vibe. I remember Le Colonial from my days in NYC in the early and this brought me right back. Our favorites were the monkfish and the caramelized beef paired with garlic noodles. It was so good, we almost went back for dinner again. Alas, we will have to wait until we visit Chicago again. Le Colonial will be be tops on our list

Always a great place to eat. Had never been disappointed with the food

We made reservations because we heard Le Colonial was a nice place to eat. We were celebrating our Anniversary. Once we were seated our waiter came by we ordered wine and informed him that we would be doing appetizers and shareable plate. When the waiter brought our wine we asked if they could space out the appetizers as this would be our meal. He said the appetizers would come out all at once and the shareable after. We were seated at a table for two and barely had enough room for the plates. It was not a relaxed atmosphere, from start to finish was approximately minutes. The waiter did not come back to the table, never asked how the food was or if we wanted another glass of wine. Which we wanted to order another appetizer and two more glasses of wine. They cleared the table including our wine glasses, at this point I said lets go. We flagged down the waiter and got the check and left. When leaving the hostesses just looked at us not even a have nice evening etc. We were so extremely disappointed

We normally love this restaurant and were very excited to try the new location. The venue is beautiful! The food, on the other hand, left us all lackluster. We were in agreement that something is missing from the usual food quality. We had seven different food items and felt they were all fine, but not worth coming back for. This made us really sad, since we have LOVED their food in the past
