Best meat burgers we have ever tried Excellent service Very comfy nice place to have a lovely night Best food of our trip
Best steak ever!!! We live in Paris and we came to Spain for vacation. We love a good steak and good wine and we loved this place!!!! Totally recommended!!!
This place is located of the beaten track in Alicante, about a 10-15 minute walk from the city center. The interior is quite simple, the menu focused almost exclusively on steaks, but don't let that put you off. The quality is very high and the price level almost unbelievable. We went for the Kobe Burger and the mature entrecote. The burger was rather average, but at €11 you can be forgiving. The steaks were hand-cut, served on the bone and was priced at an amazing €17.50 for what must have been around 400 grams. Sidedishes simple, but with 400 grams of excellent meat on your plate, it does not spoil the overall experience. The empanadas to start were fresh and juicy; worth a try as well.
We had dinner at the Cabana Grill on the 26/2 after a long day seeing Alicante city. We were made to feel very welcome in the restaurant and the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly – just what you would hope for from professional waiters in Spain. First good point (for me was that the ‘cerveza de barril’ was Estrella Galicia served in ‘Jarras/Tubos’ kept in the freezer. I got a taste for Estrella Galicia in the North of Spain so I was quite pleased to see this again in Alicante and managed a couple of pints. We shared an ample starter which was a sausage and cheese selection with bread and oil dips. For the main course I had a T-bone (cooked ‘un poco’ and my wife had Milanese Chicken. My steak was excellent and my wife tells me her chicken was very nice. I didn’t have a dessert (I had a coffee and my wife had the Uruguayan Chaja Dessert (bit like Eton mess which she describes as lovely and rich. We finished the meal with a fragrant glass of Orujo de Hierbas each. The final bill was €46+tip which I thought was excellent value for a really enjoyable meal in a very welcoming restaurant. Well worth the visit.
