Italian Village Restaurants - Chicago

Visited The Village (upstairs) last night for dinner with coworkersEven though it was very busy we only waited about 15 minutes for a table.

Just arrived in Chicago for the weekendWanted a quick bite Ordered a couple salads and an antipasto platterIt was perfect.

My friend and I went here tonight for dinnerI have never been even though the place has been around for 90 years.

Ordered lasagna and tiramisu for dinner. The portion was pretty large, and the flavor was standard but not very impressive. Wish the bread was warm when they served it. The service was okay. The interior design was interesting to make you feel like going into a totally different space. Good for a casual dinner but might not be the top choice for Italian food in Chicago.

Wow, this place was incredible! the decor is beautiful, the lasagne was absolutely incredible! we sat in a beautiful stand that apparently cut out a cabinet. it was very private. it even had a switch inside to let the server know we needed something. we will be worth putting ourselves. will definitely return to chicago next trip!
