Gyro Mena - Chicago

Amazing Gyros!!! Y’all, we just stumbled upon this place after a Cubs game and it’s amazing. We got gyro plates and should have just gotten one because it’s easily enough food for two people. The meat was very flavorful, the veggies fresh, and the bread hot! We got the potatoes and they needed just a little salt, but otherwise we’re good and tender and tasted good. Their gyro sauce is perfect. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. I’m going to post a picture, but it’s after I ate a full meal. That’s how much was left!!!

I had custom gyros loaded with meat, and they were enormous! I'm used to gyros that are half this size. The meat is freshly sliced and grilled when you order, and you can choose from a wide variety of ingredients to personalize your gyro. I'm really glad I made the trip here. I was staying near the Cloud Gate and took the red/brown line to Belmont, which drops you off right next to the restaurant. I highly recommend the gyro! I also tried a slice of cheesecake, and it was excellent as well.

What really sets Gyro Mena apart is the incredible variety of toppings available, and good luck trying to close the pita once you’ve piled on all your favorites! The foil wrap can help keep it together for a little while, but eventually, every gyro here ends up being open-faced. My recommendation is to order the pork gyro Greek style (with fries inside), load it up with toppings (definitely include tzatziki and hot sauce), and you won’t be disappointed! The photo shows the American style (with beef and lamb).

The food is fresh, delicious, and the portions are very generous. They offer a variety of meats including chicken, pork, and gyro (a blend of lamb and beef). This is a must-visit spot!

These are the Best Gyros I've had in a long time. I had a Gyro plate delivered to my home..It was still warm when it arrived and the vegetables were sooo fresh. The favors just blended together. Online ordering is fantastic and their site is user friendly..love it Love it Love it!!!!
