Contribuiți la feedbackI was thrilled to dine at Golden Bull in person again and indulged in a delicious feast of farmer's chicken claypot rice, steamed garlic surf clams, tofu, and string beans. The food was incredibly authentic and the service was excellent. I was impressed that the staff remembered our previous orders, even though it had been 2 years since our last visit. Highly recommend!
Eating our fav Cantonese food. Complete with 糖水 Sole fish two ways the crisp only happens dine in Pot rices soy seasoned rice topped with variety of meats slow cooked for about 30 mins Bitter melon scrambled eggs Hollow stem veggies in preserved tofu Ends with tarp and tapioca Always awesome
Hi guys; Today am going to share some information about a new favorite in Chicago Chinatown. Last weekend we visited Golden Bull for the 4th time and with the experience we had I can finally tell you this place is like heaven for Asian food lovers. A small family owned little restaurant with great friendly and genuine service that transports you right away to Hong Kong. The Cantonese cuisine here is as authentic as it can get. Trust me, I lived 9 years in Hong Kong and traveled all over Asia and I can guarantee you that the quality and authenticity of this place is outstanding with little competition. I am sharing three pictures from three different dishes you can’t miss if you try this place. The shredded cold chicken is to die for. The soft shell crab is spot on and the honey walnut shrimps are just addictive. Hope you enjoy as much as we do and definitely we will be back for more! Menu is generous and they have plenty of other very recomendable dishes that will blow your brains!
It’s a complete mystery to me how this gem which is a favorite to many Chinese folks have so few ratings! I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a homey spot, with incredibly kind servers and impeccable food. The best part about their menu is for most dishes they offer “small” and “big” portions, so you can try plenty of new dishes by ordering the smaller size option. Been going to this place regularly since moving to Chicago, and it’s never disappointed anyone that I brought along, even my very picky parents… Below are some of my favorites: braised beef, salt pepper soft shell crab, and Cantonese style fried chicken. A must try for authentic and delicious Cantonese dishes. I am so glad this place survived quarantine!!
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant and my go to spot when I go to Chinatown in Chicago. We fly from Houston just to have Chinese there.. The food is always prepared fresh. My favorite dishes are the Orange chicken, the walnut shrimp, the pepper steak and the deep fried lobster with Ginger. I love their shrimp fried rice also. One of the best things that my wife and I like is the tea is that they give you with each meal. We were there for our anniversary My wife chose the Golden Bull over a nice steak dinner somewhere else. You won't be disappointed.
