Gaslight Coffee Roasters - Chicago

I absolutely adored this coffee shop! It is spacious, with plenty of seating, so you don't feel like you have to leave in a hurry. We tried the latte, drip coffee, and double shot of espresso, all of which were expertly made. The espresso had a wonderful floral/fruity taste. I also made a pour over with beans from Rwanda and was blown away by the clarity of flavor. We will definitely be returning here!

Gaslight takes their coffee roasting very serious and I have had some seriously amazing drinks here. They also have a great tea selection. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is warm and cozy.

Looks like a pretty good coffee shop but I'm sure a few of my exes get coffee here.

The coffee was good, but I was frustrated with the service. The cashier who took my order did not write down names or coffee orders on the cups, and did not inform me where to wait for my coffee. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I went to the other counter and found 4 unmarked coffee cups. When I asked for my order, the barista replied, "I don't know, I made yours a while ago." I had to guess which cup was mine, despite having dietary restrictions that prevent me from consuming almond milk. Fortunately, I guessed correctly because my drink was a small size, while the others were medium. It would have been helpful if they had labeled the cups to avoid confusion for customers.

We are also in the independent specialty coffee industry. Unfortunately, in Chicago, we don't have much time to visit other great cafes. However, whenever we are in Logan Square, we know that Gaslight is always a reliable choice. It is truly an exceptional café!
