BYOB with a great fresh margarita accoutrements just bring tequila (they charged $5.00 corkage for spirits, I think beer and wine are free). The outside lookslike a taqueria... The inside is much more refined.
After seeing this was featured on local food show, my wife and I decided to give a try. The chips and salsa were very good and the service is impeccable. I got the steak fajita which were excellent and my wife got the burrito which was also very good! The Margarita I ordered was awfully pricey $13) for its moderate size. There is also a corkage fee for BYO wine. We liked thefood a lot, the ambiance could use some improvement as the kitchen and ceiling are a bit of an eye sore. I'd recommend for takeout for sure!
I wanted to go to dos riccos, since they opened and finally made it on the last Saturday. it really made me worried about the condition of the restaurant business in general, because this is a great place with really high quality Mexican food, for which we were the only table at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday night. the setting is very comfortable and it sits more than it would appear from outside and its kitchen is quite large and well ordered, which is likely why they can produce so good food. we shared a hot seafood salad oktopus, mush, calamari, which had an enormous savory sauce with just the right bite of hotness as well as a meerred thun on a bed of shaped sushi rice and freshly cut avocados. the thunfish was very fresh and perfectly thought and the presentation on the teller was very artistic. it is also to be noted that their chips are made home and a tasty for themselves. there is a creative and talented cook here and I hope that more people use this neighborhood chess before it disappears. next time, I will try their Asian inspired Mexican dishes, like kalbi tacos.
This restaurant is a small jewel you need to visit! The food is fabulous (the steak adobo fajitas are amazing) and the ambience is picturesque. Great location and great place to go a casual week night. The owner was super charming and gracious. I love his interest in making his restaurant a meeting place. You want to see small businesses like this victory!
