Don Pez Fish Tacos - Chicago

The best tacos I've ever had! I tried four different kinds, and they were all a perfect 10/10. The staff was excellent and very friendly, and the food came out quickly! I traveled from Milwaukee to try this restaurant after seeing it featured on a TastingTable list of the best taco spots in the country, and it did not disappoint! The Mahi tacos were the favorite at our table!

A friend recommended this restaurant to me while I was visiting from out of town, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I’m really excited to be here.

On a positive note, the staff were very nice, which makes it disappointing to find that the food doesn't match the service quality, especially at such high prices. I feel compelled to update my review after the owner's unreasonable response. Honestly, the tinga tacos were the blandest meal I've had in Chicago during the five years I've lived here! My mom is from Mexico, and I can assure you that anyone not in this affluent area would never settle for this. If you want to pull the first-generation card, that's fine by me. Also, the storefront was pretty tacky! It's important to learn how to take criticism.

This spot was delicious! Tacos were lovely with a hint of spice and Andrea was a dream behind the counter. Can't wait to come back :
