De Pasada - Chicago

The food here is excessively salty. The cheese is just average and lacks authentic chihuahua cheese. While this place is okay, if you're in search of truly great Mexican cuisine, I recommend heading a few blocks south to Pilsen. The chicken enchiladas verdes are particularly salty here.

Love this place. My fave is the Carne Asada burrito, hold the beans. The steak is well seasoned and the green salsa is the perfect accompaniment.

I visited this place on a whim and ordered a coffee, which was just $1—what a deal! However, when I returned, I was shocked to find the price had skyrocketed by 250%. To make matters worse, an older woman mocked me for thinking I could still get coffee for $1 and made it clear she didn’t care if I came back. What on earth is happening here?

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and friendly. I ordered the 3 super taco dinner, and it was prepared in just a few minutes! I also appreciated that it is a family-owned business. I loved the convenience and will definitely be returning!

4-26-2022 2 way combo with chicken shawarma and gyros. So good. The gyros is not an actual combo item on the menu, but they are very accommodating. Everyone is always nice here. 10-20-2021 5 stars for their chicken shawarma and customer service. That?ssaying a lot because I usually hate chicken shawarma. I haven?t have the lamb chops or shank yet, but everything else is prettystandard. -beef shawarma: decent and flavorful. Kind of tastes like steak with A1 sauce -chicken kabob: not as flavorful ortasty as the chicken shawarma. Also a bit dry -kefta kabob: dry, chewy and bland -lentil soup: very good. Heartier than otherlentil soups I?ve had elsewhere I always get half dill rice and half yellow rice. I like them both. FYI they charge for extrasauce now.
