Chicago Stadium Club

Tonight, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and decided to try the Stadium Club for the first time. We began our dinner a bit late and ended up being the last couple in the restaurant. As the first period of the game was winding down, we noticed we were the only ones left. Having both worked as servers in the past, we understood how eager the staff might be to finish their shift and head home. However, instead of feeling rushed, we were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and friendly everyone was—from the management and servers to the buffet staff. Thank you all for making our evening special and memorable.

A lovely spot to enjoy a meal before an event at the United Center. The buffet offers a great variety of options, and the desserts are both diverse and delicious. The space is roomy and rarely feels crowded, making for a truly pleasant experience. The atmosphere is clean and stylish.

The waiter took our drink orders and then explained the buffet offerings. For those who know me, buffets are not my favorite, but this one was acceptable. The food looked and smelled good, and it was regularly replenished. There were appetizers like fresh shrimp, a cheese plate, crudités, and quesadillas, as well as several salads, sides, and entrees. On the night I visited, the main dishes included quartered chicken, beef in gravy, and a prime rib carving station. Given the setup to serve 300 people quickly before a concert, the food was decent. My only complaint was that the bread basket seemed to hold leftover rolls—hard and crumbly. One of my favorite aspects? You can order a bottle of wine to-go, and they will open it for you and provide glasses to enjoy at your seats. If you need to head to your seat and haven’t finished your drink, there are large plastic cups at the exit for you to pour your drink into, making it easy to take it with you. Nice touch! As for pricing, I found it a bit steep for a buffet—$50 per person, which includes one drink. For the same $50, we could’ve dined at another nearby restaurant with table service. However, the convenience is hard to beat! I couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that a restaurant in a sports venue has a dress code, but this one does. No shorts, torn jeans, or t-shirts—wear those, and you might find yourself in the penalty box!

So before a concert my friend and I set out to try this place. We checked the menu before going and called and made a reservation. We got there and the only thing they serve on concert nights is a buffet. I regular menu is not an option yet they don't tell you that anywhere or when you call. It looks like a very nice classy place. The buffet was 50.00 a person; we left. I was disappointed that they don't serve the regular menu before concerts and I'm sorry but 50.00 is way to pricy for my taste. Maybe I'll try again before a game!

Buffet is typically a receipt for disaster. This place treats you right and the food for a sporting event restaurant is expectional. We went here last night without a reservation (suppose to have one). They let us know that they are completely booked for the evening but should know within an hours time if something should open up. They invited us to wait by the bar, so we did...as the four of us are being handed a drink by the bartender, the hostess finds us and asks if we would like to be seated, that was super quick, i didn't even get a sip of my cocktail in before we got seating. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very accommodating (she brought short ribs, which were really good, to the table because they were mysteriously hard to find). The shrimp saffron was ridiculous and the prime rib was to perfection. The buffet was absolutely good. the one at cellular field doesn't even come close. We stuffed ourselves and then had dessert (get the white chocolate mousse) with a cup of coffee all in the nick of time to get out to our seats to watch a tribute to Denis Savard. The game was outstanding as we watched the Hawks win a see saw battle, including two fights, with the Kings in come back fashion in Overtime!!
