Cafe Tola (logan Square) - Chicago

Got three empanadas the iced horchata latte. The chorizo/egg empanada the pinto/cheese/jalapeño empanada were phenomenal. Also got the ham cheese empanada and that one was truly not good. The ham was cut weird making it taste weird, it felt weird in every bite I kept looking at the inside of the empanada thinking “is that ham?” The horchata iced latte was sooooo good!! They could sweep the ground more as there was food on the ground from previous customers. Love the salsa that they give with the empanadas.

On a brutally hot 95 degree day, Cafe Tola managed to save me with delicious food.Food: I ended up stopping here after a long walk in the heat with some friends. I got the chicken salsa verde burrito with was exceptional and washed it down with a water and glass bottle Coke. Couldn 't ask for anything more.Service: I only dealt with the cashier, but she was super nice and patient with me.Aesthetic: Wasn 't a fan of the drink stock being in the middle of the floor, but it is a small place so it is understandable. I did like the vibe and it was a nice quick-eats spot.

Went today for the first time. Bought 4 varied types of empanadas. The guava and queso may have been the , but they were all good. Also got a cafe con leche (iced). Delicious.The woman serving was very nice, and the small.line up was quick. Very small place...but not a negative thing. Bien hecho!
