Burrito Beach - Chicago

I am giving this restaurant one star because the Miguel's burrito bowl is amazing! However, the customer service is terrible. Some days the staff have an attitude for no reason at all. I always order online, arrive at the designated time, provide my name, but there always seems to be a problem. Today, I placed an order to be ready by 7:15 am because they open at 7. I received a confirmation code, but when I arrived at 7:15, the doors were closed and employees were inside eating, cleaning, and chatting. When I knocked on the door, a lady yelled that they were closed. After insisting that I had placed an order, she finally came out and told me they didn't have my order because they were closed. I ended up canceling my order myself. It was a horrible experience.

I ordered three shrimp tacos on flour shells with all the toppings, including hot salsa sauce and goat cheese. The dish also came with tortilla chips, and it was absolutely delicious.

Go to the one inside the hospital — it's the better one! The carnitas tacos are off the charts — good!!

I had the chicken burritos from here for the first time this year, and I have to say, I am now a converted fan! I now prefer the burritos at Burrito Beach over Chipotle. In my opinion the chicken at Burrito Beach is more flavorful, and I also really love the seasoned yellow Spanish rice. You can add a scoop of guacamole for an extra $3 for extra deliciousness. This place is inside Northwestern hospital and the aroma draws you to it. The people are extremely friendly and hard working. The food is excellent, it's like Chipotle but the food is better. I had lunch and then came back for breakfast as my daughter had heart surgery and we could have left to go eat but this place was a better choice. I highly recommend the food.
