Blowfish - Chicago

This place was phenomenal! I had ordered ramen for takeout before and really liked it, but dining in was amazing. I got the spicy garlic ramen which comes with pork, corn, spinach, and wood ear mushrooms. It was an enormous portion, the spinach was a nice touch, and I liked that I didn't have to pay extra for the mushrooms. I also got a crunchy dynamite roll which was HUGE and so filling only had one piece before getting the rest to go. The restaurant is cramped, so the wait time can be long and it is a bit unpleasant to sit so close to other people, but the service is still great and I'm pretty sure having a small shop is how they keep prices down. I left completely stuffed with leftovers for half to two thirds of the price of other ramen spots.

I came in with an old friend to catch up. The Ramen was great. The portions are decent and the service was amazing. The girls were always attentive and made sure we didn't need anything. I had the garlic spicy miso ramen with pork. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Modern style BYOB conveniently located by liquor store and CTA redline Ramen was ok, but a bit too spicy and not expected as ordered.

BYOB + Good Food + Reasonable Prices I really love when a place keep the focus, they focus on the food, with a wide selection of carefully prepared dishes.
