Big Kids - Chicago

This place is really fun!! I got the Tang mezcal cocktail which ruled. The beyond burger is sort of like a giant delicious flat Big Mac with the yummy sauce, classic cheese, and shredded lettuce…. So good. My boyfriend got the Amy Nettie chicken sandwich which he also liked, but, !!! WARNING- the sauce on this sandwich was extremely garlicky to a point that he has had the worst garlic breath of his life for more than 12 hours now with multiple teeth brushing and consuming an almost entire pack of mints. We hope to return to Big Kids soon!! But I will personally ensure that he skips this particular sandwich next time…

Is this place intentionally trying to be bad? I went here for lunch the first time with my boyfriend and we were astonished at how disappointing it was.First, music was blaring so loudly that we had to yell to hear eachother. I’m not exaggerating. It was like we were at a club instead of a restaurant.Secondly, the food was absolutely awful. My boyfriend got their Philly cheese steak sandwich. He’s currently suffering food poisoning from it.As for me, I got their burger, and it came with completely unseasoned meat and a slaw that was mostly mayonnaise. I also don’t think they incorporated any egg yolk into the patty, because the patty fell apart almost immediately.Honest to god, this place can do so much better. Best Intentions on Armitage sells a burger that’s cheaper and ten times better.

Well balanced sandwiches, casual indoor patio seating, 90’s memorabilia everywhere. Will be back to try the rest of the menu!? Turkey melt: beautifully golden toast, red cabbage slaw, sweet baby rays bbq sauce? beyond shiddy: meatless burger reminiscent of a big mac, but juicier

Went for the first time this past week. Let me tell you to be able to walk into a place and get hit with 90's hip hop had be boopin! The vibe was set! I was already liking the place. The bartender immediately greeted us! I loved that felt very welcomed. A friendly greeting goes a long way when it comes to consumer facing! The shiddy double patty burger was a solid 20/10!!! One bite of it and I was In-love def one of my favorite burgers joints now!
