Vegan World Cafe - Chicago

First of all, I love that there is a purely vegan restaurant 10 min from us. before we had to drive into the city and that is about the corner. They have tons of options, but since we went on a Sunday, the menu was more limited. I look forward to trying on another day more options. the items are a bit expensive, but it seems like everything is expensive in these days. I got the soul plate (ribs and chose the bordered greens and mac and cheese). the ribs were the star of the plate. (my not vegan husband thought they were very realistic). the bbq sauce is so delicious! the sides were decent. we also got their cookies and lemon cake, which was quite delicious. I would definitely recommend and will be back!

The food was amazing, with perfect portions, amazing vibes, the owners were really friendly will definitely visit again.

We’ve tried about 75% of the menu, you can’t go wrong with anything. The food tastes amazing and crafted by wife and husband that provide a loving environment. Hidden gem on the west side in Austin. Love what they are doing. Support small community businesses. #Veganuary

I devoured the soul plate with ribs, greens, and mac cheese, and added a side of yams. This place is very special and I can’t wait to return to try other menu items.

The people were very pleasant and there were very nice options. Big portions as well. My son really enjoyed the cauliflower wings. Everything seemed to be cooked to order and really fresh! The only con was that the tacos were a bit on the drier side and could have used a bit more Flavor, otherwise everything was good and tasty. Updated from previous review on 2023-07-14
