Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Palermo

Staying in Palermo and looking for a pizzeria near the hotel. Found this place on Google and we were very happy. Lots of seating, great service, but most of all delicious food! We split the Insalatona and a Margherita da Michele and with drinks the total was €22.50. The pizza was huge compared to what I was use to back home. It was prepared fresh, hot and the flavor was excellent. I came back a second time when I returned to Palermo two weeks later. I found the overall prices a bit high for a pizzeria but they did have a 10 Euro lunch special which was perfect for us.

Below average pizza, particularly for Italy. Nice place with good design but food not so good. There are better options in Palermo.

Beyond disappointment, I've never ever eaten a worse pizza than here. Fake Naples' pizza, Margherita with pecorino sunflower oil on top it's even more threatening than pineapple...

It is clear that it will never be like the original, yet it manages to maintain the great quality of the historical headquarters of napoli. excellent appetizers (fried pizza nods with tomato and buffalo stracciatella, fried buffalo rags with pecorino crust,) pizzas as always very thin, with soft dough, digestible and with first quality ingredients. discrete the sweets that are imported from napoli directly to (and clearly cannot be precisely accurate). attentive and courteous service and very nice and well maintained local. absolute compliance covid norms.

We had many expectations knowing the pizza of michele the real one in napoli. but more than anything else has disappointed us the organization and the fact that being a franchising you can not change the product, only remove ingredients by paying the same price. with harm to those who have intolerances because they have a lower choice. In any case the pizza is not bad, the ingredients seemed tasty even if you do not understand the oil of seeds. of the original one, however, only remembers the size. service not fast (but it was Saturday,) we also lost the reservation and we sat with half an hour late. in the wait we took a tea starter of oranges, a tortino of pasta and u a crocchette, enough for two. and I would say we found it good and light. I'll try again later, but not on Saturday.
