Friends Lake Inn - Chestertown

I kept my wedding here. The place is beautiful and includes many accommodation. The food was delicious. The staff is also friendly. Unfortunately, my wedding didn't go as well as I expected because I got an email 2 days before my big event in which I was told that the wedding coordinator couldn't make it my wedding because she got Covid. These things happen naturally. I was really worried about my big day after this news, but she assured me I was in good hands. Unfortunately, that was not quite the case. The day before my wedding, when my family and I arrived, there was a lot of confusion about which rooms my family would stay, even though they were reserved a bit before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the employees who now coordinate my wedding were very disorganized and not aware that all that was that on the day unfortunately due to lack of communication with the wedding coordinator and because leadership was lacking. My middle pieces never made it to the guest tables, the entrance tables or the wedding couple tables. Two dozen rose petals were bought to be blown over the tables that have not happened and they have never left the fridge. The flowers were one of the most important and expensive aspects of my wedding for me and I stressed this to the coordinator so that I am upset about it is understandable. A refund for all flowers has not been offered, they simply delivered them to my honeymoon area the next day with an apology. I do not leave this informative review to place any negativity on Friends Lake Inn. There were many beautiful weddings here, but unfortunately, mine didn't go as planned. Unfortunately, the young lady who was placed responsible for coordinating the wedding on the wedding day was nowhere to find until about half an hour before the event, so my husband had to run around like a chicken with his head lacking trying to tell people where to go and what to do until the bride was ready. That wasn't my husband's responsibility. I informed Friends Lake Inn about why I was upset about my wedding, and I talked to the owner and he offered me a free night to stay at Friends Lake Inn and asked me to make me happy? It was a very nice offer and I took it because it was again a nice place to stay and very accommodating. Unfortunately, it does not remove the past. I sincerely hope that this will not happen to any other couple, which is another reason why I decided to publish this review. The owner asked me to leave a good review after he offered me a free night stay at the Inn and I believe that a true review is exactly that. Remember, we're still in the middle of a pandemic. If you plan a wedding, you are always very careful at the venue(s) you choose, especially during the pandemic.

The whole place was like a step into a holiday film. it is a beautiful opposite, and the gas house is very well preserved; with some very beautiful attractions! everyone was so amazing to even offer to bring the dinge to locate us. their website does not really make the place justity. they have beautiful places, hidden in a small piece of heaven.

History alone like staying in a museum was well worth it. The staff offers a brief tour explaining the history of the building and land. Rooms styled in the rustic woods man, porches on rooms provide a scenic view that will take your breath away. Has a restaurant downstairs and a bar. Just a relaxing quit place that I was lucky and honored to say will live rent free in my head forever.

Here's awesome. super cozy perfect camping away. my friend and I were one night on the way to the lake and it was amazing. at the end of our stay I would have thought we've known each other for years. they were something under servants while we were there, so eating took a little, but his hard times and they just have to be patient. it was worth waiting. breakfast and dinner were delicious. we want to go back every year.

The staff at Friends Lake are amazing. Betty, in particular, was so warm, thoughtful and attentive. She stayed late one night so that she could have an outdoor fire lit and drinks awaiting us. Wonderful time at Friends Lake!
