Brock’s -b-que - Chesterfield

The sides were better than the meat, but as a Texan, I hold brisket to a high standard. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem freshly cooked. The slices were evenly cut with grill marks, but that’s not enough. The ribs were actually better than the brisket, and all the side dishes were served in generous portions. The atmosphere was lovely. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the brisket. However, the buffet prices were quite reasonable.

Brock has been a staple for a long time, and with its recent renovations, it remains a popular choice. The buffet is fantastic and a highlight in the BBQ scene! The service is top-notch, and make sure to save some room for the peach cobbler!

If you find yourself in Chester, Virginia, you would be missing out if you didn't dine at Brock's. The service was outstanding, and the Barbecue Sampler Platter was incredible! The barbecue sauce was so delicious that I ended up buying a bottle. The owner took the time to chat with our group, which added a personal touch to our experience and meant a lot to us.

I had the Flounder. It was the best I had in YEARS! I couldn't eat anything, even though I tried hard. The staff was fabulous, friendly and fast. We'll be back.

In my never-ending Tuesday quest to find the best buffet... we find this spot. Brock’s BBQ took us 30 minutes to reach from the Airport. The food was good. Fresh but very slow coming out. The beans tasted unseasoned and straight out of a can. The greens very good. The corn was ok. The mash potatoes were average. The salad bar was very simple. The meat we’ll let me tell you. The chicken was to die for. I try to stay away from fried foods but the seasoning on the chicken and fried livers kept pulling me back in. I LOVED it!!! The BBQ was pretty smoky and tasty. The pulled pork was more of a shredded pork and was very good because it wasn’t stringy. Almost like chopped BBQ. Either way those where my favorite dishes. The reason this location lost their stars. My server was very nice and friendly. So friendly that she hand picked my lemons and held them in the cup with her fingers on top of the lemons flesh so they do not fall. Gross!!!
