We had reservations and when we got there, it was a line but we was seated immediately. Our server was good and she did take safety precautions. We ask for toothpicks and when she went to get them she didn't bring any back because they wasn't wrap up. We order cheesesteak egg rolls as an appetizer which were good. I ordered the grilled cheese and Cobb salad and it tasted like blah. The grilled cheese had macaroni in it. They gave me Kens Ranch dressing in the package (like the one you get from Wawa) for my salad, which is always a no no for a restaurant. We also ordered the Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ wings they were a little big but the sauce was good. The atmosphere just felt big, nothing special about it. They were social distancing the tables. I also think they was a little pricey for the food the were serving.
I 'm a fan of Guy Fieri on cable so I definitely was excited to find that one of his restaurants was located in the Harrah 's Casino in Chester, PA. Looking at the menu, there was no doubt in my mind that I would order a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, with our being so close to Philadelphia. What to wash it down with was the only remaining question. My wife and I both decided to have pints of Stacy 's Mom $7) an American IPA from Evil Genius. I 'm not a big IPA drinker but I have to say this is a really good beer with low bitterness. My wife also ordered the Tuna Poké Won Tacos $15) sashimi grade ahi, mango jicama salsa, seaweed salad, sweet chili sauce, crispy wonton taco shells, drizzled with sweet soy wasabi cream. Four tacos to an order, with ramekins of lime wedges and sliced radish on the side, it looked more like an appetizer to me, but it was just right for my wife. She did believe the wonton shells were a bit oily, otherwise the sashimi was fresh and everything was flavorful. Even after having decided that I would order a Philly Cheesesteak, I still had to make a difficult decision there was the standard preparation, and then there was Guy 's way. I figured I could get a standard one anytime, so I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Guy 's Way $16). After starting with thin sliced prime rib it seemed more like shaved to me since it was so thin) and the usual caramelized onions and melted provolone, Guy adds SMC super melty cheese) and chopped, charred poblanos to the garlic buttered hoagie. It looked so huge when brought to the table that I thought I 'd never be able to eat it all. But the hoagie was fresh, warm and soft, and the meat was so tender the way it was sliced it all seemed to slide down my throat with each bite. A combination of both regular and waffle fries were served on the side. The waffle fries were better than the regular ones. Service was good, and I saw there were charging outlets beneath the bar next to us. We had a really nice view of the harness track from our table and watched a number of races while we enjoyed our meal.
Started of weak and ended the same way. The food is amazing but if you are so slow the customer has to pack food to go it does it matter! The French Onion soup and Chili topped with cornbread was totally awesome! But why do I have to go through a list of beers to be told my first three choices are unavailable. One beer called Delco made in Delco at a restaurant in Delco all on the Saturday night before Super Bowl Sunday not available, NOT A GOOD LOOK! It's bad enough my Eagles are not up for a repeat. But while dining I received an alert our own Philadelphia Eagles player Chris Long will be the recipient of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year! The ambiance is great, food delicious but the service is extremely I mean extremely slow! If you are looking to get in and out in a timely manner this is NOT THE RESTAURANT FOR YOU! We spoke with a manager he was aware of negative experience and didn't even offer a beer, oh they ran out!!!
If you want the biggest, juiciest, unhealthiest Philly cheesesteak in the area, come here. Make sure you bring your knife and fork! Came here during a business trip with coworkers. It is on the upper level of the Harrahs casino which was pretty empty for some reason. We were seated near the window of the horse track. The food itself was pretty good. The beer was also tasty. The service was a little so-so and we actually had one of our coworkers leave to another eatery. See the pics themselves for whether you can handle this much cheesesteak. I ended up with a bad stomach ache.
Despite the mediocre (at best food, I 've been here several times now. This wouldn 't be the case were it not for groupon. You can get $30 worth of food plus $10 toward useless valet parking (useless because self-parking in their garage isn 't difficult and it 's free for $16 when groupon runs a promo code, which they do at least a couple of times a week. This place would absolutely be 1 star were it not for groupon. While the portion sizes are quite large, the only flavors you will notice are salt and grease. Last night I got the grilled cheese, and it truly had no flavor! It sounded so delicious: Mac and cheese plus super melty cheese on sourdough that 's allegedly garlic buttered. Unfortunately I tasted no garlic and really didn 't taste the cheese. It did have a rubbery mouthfeel and the bread was fresh, but it still wasn 't served warm. The accompanying fries were also not hot but they tasted ok. As you 'll see in the accompanying photo, it does LOOK delicious. Boo got the old bay wings based on a prior good experience with them. This time they were VERY salty. She couldn 't finish them. I will say that the ranch sauce they come with is delicious. You must ask for extra to dip everything else in so it has flavor! In the past I 've tried the chicken pasta dish, it was like a knock off of the Cajun chicken pasta served at Chili 's, but not as good. Far too salty and shockingly not a huge portion. I also have tried the ringer burger, which was dry and flavorless. The cheesecake, while ginormous, tastes like it 's made by Sysco, which means it has no taste. Trash can nachos are OK. Certainly enough for 4-6 people and probably the best value on the menu if prepared correctly. You don 't come here for salad so I can 't comment on those. I will say that the wines for $6 a glass are decent. They give a generous pour and it 's drinkable (Woodbridge . If you ask for a table by the window, the view of the horse racing track and Delaware river are great, you can also see some of the Commodore Barry Bridge and will be near a bank of TV 's showing different things. And yes, the floors are indeed sticky. I like Guy 's TV programs and want this place to be good, but as others say, you can get better at a chain restaurant for less money. What saves this place from 1 star is the view, the nice pours on wine, and the fact that you will leave full in what I 'd say is a decent atmosphere for a casino eatery. Don 't expect fine dining or a place that Guy himself would rave over, which is saying something because he gushes over EVERYTHING he eats on his television programs. Will I return? Honestly, I probably will. Why? Because I 'm already a sucker for going to a casino in the first place! Final tip: if you are using groupon (I hope you are! , be sure to use the entire amount and remember that it doesn 't apply toward alcohol. We had a $30 one and only used $27 for wings and grilled cheese. $3 wasted. You can 't afford to leave money on the table, especially at a casino.
