Elephant Coffee

We visit Parkgate with the dog frequently and always call in here for a hot drink. Good quality and fairly priced. Has a chilled out vibe and good loyalty scheme. Would recommend to anyone visiting Parkgate.

This restaurant is a wonderful spot for enjoying the views and observing people. The scenery looking across to Wales is stunning. The establishment is clean and the service is friendly. The quirky decor adds a unique charm, and the cocktails are fantastic. Located in the heart of Parkgate, it's a must-visit.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was blown away by the stunning view and excellent people-watching opportunities. We went on a warm early evening during the middle of the week. The view of the Welsh mountains and the River Dee was truly amazing. The service was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I am already excited to visit again.

So if you know Parkgate, you’ll know it’s famous for ice cream. I went with my daughter this week, we walked from Willaston on the Wirral Way (would recommend, about 6k each way). My daughter got an ice cream and then we went to Elephant so I could grab a coffee, we had the dog with us. Expecting to sit in the courtyard due to having the dog and a child with an ice cream with me, I was told that we could not get a coffee and drink it in the courtyard because of the ice cream, purchased from another place (the place that made Parkgate famous). Can’t see how this mattered but while Elephant has the monopoly on coffee right now in Parkgate, they need to do very little to look after their customers, might not always be the case though.

My son and I cycled over from North Wales to this restaurant and we couldn't fault it, to be honest. After reading some recent reviews, I have to say I disagree with what was written. The place was lively and bustling, the food was delicious and served hot, and the coffee was strong and hot. Both staff members I interacted with were polite and cheerful. We will definitely be returning here in the future. I highly recommend trying the sausage and cheese bagel!
